Privacy policy.
Reach is built privacy-first. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, and your play data stays on your own computer.

Who is responsible.

This website.
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, and does not build a profile of you. There is no account to create and no sign-in.
Your browser tells the page which operating system you are on so we can offer the right download. That check happens entirely in your browser and is never sent to us or stored.
Like any website, our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) records standard technical server logs when a page or file is requested, which can include your IP address, the time of the request, and which file was served. These logs are used for security and to keep downloads working.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them. That request is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
Contributions and payment data.
If you make a voluntary contribution, the payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout pages. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages — they never pass through reach.game, and Mechan8 never sees or stores your card number.
Stripe collects the information it needs to process the payment and meet its legal obligations, such as your name, email address, payment details, and country. Stripe acts as an independent controller of that data under its own privacy policy.
What we can see in our Stripe dashboard is limited to payment records — such as the amount, currency, date, the last four digits and brand of the card, and the email address you gave Stripe. We use this only to reconcile payments, answer your questions, and issue refunds. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing.
The Reach app.
Reach does not require an account. Your profile, accessibility settings, button bindings, stats, and progress are stored locally on your own computer.
Progress in Reach is private and self-comparative by design: you see your own history, not other players'. We do not publish leaderboards or share your stats with other users.
To install and update games, Reach downloads files from our distribution servers. As with the website, those requests appear in standard server logs.
Who we share information with.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run Reach:
- Stripe — payment processing for voluntary contributions.
- Amazon Web Services — website hosting, downloads, and game updates.
- Google Fonts — serving the fonts used on this site.
These providers may process data outside New Zealand. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Your rights.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Because we hold very little — essentially payment records if you have contributed — these requests are usually quick to answer.
Email support@reach.game and we will respond within the timeframe the Act allows. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
We keep payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then delete them.
